One of the nation’s largest non-profit membership organizations maintains a website that caters to multiple and varied audiences. Mediabarn conducts ongoing usability testing and research projects to support the association’s online initiatives.

Our Approach

Since late 2009, Mediabarn has conducted hundreds of usability test sessions on the association’s website, mini-sites, and online products (e.g., retirement calculator, member benefits dashboard, charitable programs, etc.). Most of these tests included recruiting and interviewing individuals ages 50 and olderFocus groups have been utilized on occasion to test new concepts and ideas.

Project Results Included

Most of the user research studies focus on website navigation, content organization, and user satisfaction. By showcasing usability issues and possible solutions, Mediabarn uncovers ways in which AARP can make continual improvements to the website.
